Chicago Places and Spaces opens the door to the city’s architecture and invites you to take a look around. Celebrating the city’s great places and spaces, the event offers programs and tours from the famous to the little-known. Tours are led by some of the world’s most renowned architects and design experts, offering a professional’s insight into what makes our buildings special and interesting.
Visitors to the event can choose to participate in select events or in the Immersion Weekend, offering a comprehensive architectural experience. The event kicks off with Great Chicago Conversation on Friday, which is free to attend and gets things going with a discussion of design hot topics. Chicago Interiors allows you access to buildings not generally open to the public. You get a peek at the city’s many architectural treasures.
The Lego Event on Saturday is just for kids and also offers free admission. Kids get to use building blocks made by Lego to create imaginative structures just like the architects do.
